Since 1961, a family from Waldshut-Tiengen has shaped the way civil engineering and track construction are done – with our own people, our own equipment and the belief that solid craftsmanship outlasts any promise.
For more than 60 years, Klefenz has been dedicated to civil engineering – laying the foundations that keep everyday mobility running reliably. As a family-run business with strong traditions and a clear view ahead, we combine precision, durability and innovation to build connections that link people, opportunities and the future.

While others talk about sustainability, we put it into practice. With our own gravel pit and our own recycling facility, we close the material cycle exactly where it begins: on the construction site. Excavated material is processed, mineral construction waste is reused, and transport routes stay short.
This is not a marketing concept but a way of working that has grown over time – part of our value creation for decades.

A family-run business with flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths and a management team that knows every employee by name. These structures have grown over decades and still shape our daily work – on the construction site, in the office and across our fleet of machinery. The result: a company where colleagues stay for the long haul, and where responsibility is passed on from one generation to the next.
Anyone building for Deutsche Bahn, for energy providers and for municipalities has to prove their qualifications – not just claim them. Klefenz is Deutsche Bahn pre-qualified, ECM-certified under EU Regulation 2019/779 and audited across every relevant area of our service portfolio. These credentials are a prerequisite for any contract award. For our clients, they are proof that we deliver what we promise.

Whether you are planning a demanding construction project or looking for a new career path – Klefenz stands for experience, reliable collaboration and a clear commitment to quality. If you want to realise a project with us or become part of our team, we look forward to starting the conversation and taking the next step together.
